Hi, I’m Melissa Chandler

And I’m not your conventional personal trainer. I am a Certified Exercise Therapist & Pain Specialist who subscribes to a whole different ideal when it comes to health and fitness. Here’s why ⬇️

I’ve struggled with addiction, eating disorders, co-dependant relationships, body dysmorphia and multiple injuries from punishing my body out of pure self hatred.

All I ever wanted was to be skinny, my roll models like Jennifer Aniston and Brittany Spears had all their bones showing AND I WANTED THAT. My entire self worth was tied to how flat my stomach could be..

This broke me down mentally and physically. I had so much joint pain I thought the rest of my life looked like surgeries and agony. What it took me years to understand is that my body pain wasn’t because I was aging.. It was my body asking me to correct things and love it. Pain is a symptom NOT A DIAGNOSIS… Tight muscles, inflammation, runners knee, sciatica, it band syndrome are all symptoms not root causes.

Joint pain(neck, knee, hip, shoulder, back) is your body reacting to something that can be corrected through proper movement patterns and self care.


What I’ve learned over the years is, you cannot hate your body into fitness… Believe me I’ve tried. The relationship with your body is just that, a relationship. You need to nurture and show it love for it to transform and blossom. If you punish it and hate it all day, your body and your mind feel those effects, and they will not show up for you when you need them most.

So I have molded my career into healing peoples Physical Pain, while also helping them face emotional pain. Because these two always go hand in hand. Together we strengthen emotionally and physically, and with both of those getting gains that motivation cycle will be broken for ever.


My Approach

 

It all begins with motivation, that voice inside your head telling you it’s time for a change! As that begins to fade(we all know those motivation cycles) I step in to teach you why you DESERVE to access your highest self. Using self love (dedication) instead of self hate(motivation) we will skip right past that point when motivation drops and right onto .. this is your lifestyle now.

 

Emotional Strengthening

This is the first 50% of our empowerment plan. Where we unlearn our self destructive habits, explore and examine the barriers that kept us from our goals and learn new empowering thought patterns to keep us showing up for ourselves regardless of lifes chaos.

You deserve to reach your highest potential.

Physical Strengthening

Becoming physically strong, mobile and stable are the most most self loyal things we can do for our quality of life. Learning to squat, means we can get out chairs with less pain. Learning to overhead press means we can reach for high shelves into our old age.

You deserve to move through life with the least amount of joint pain possible.
